The painting was painted when listening to the Miles Davis Jazz track called 'Bitches Brew'.
This piece was first inspired by listening to Miles Davis sounds, and the vibrant colourist works from the Fauvist movement in 20th Century. Kandinski, Expressionism and Fauvist colour is always present in my paintings. Most of my paintings begin with simple free mark-making. I am fascinated with sound and colour incorporated within the structures of lines and negative space all around us.
