Blossom Beneath the Storm began with the quiet contrast between softness and strength. I wanted to paint a flowering tree standing calmly beneath an approaching sky, not overwhelmed by the weather but simply existing within it.

I’ve always loved that moment before rain arrives, when the landscape seems to pause and everything becomes still. The clouds gather, the light softens and the colours become richer, yet there is a remarkable sense of peace before the weather finally breaks.

For me, this painting is about finding beauty in uncertain moments. The delicate blossom reminds me that strength doesn’t always need to be bold. Sometimes it appears quietly, standing its ground while everything around it begins to change.
