Australian natives have recently had a resurgence in popularity and I must admit for the artist the interesting shapes and colours are quite exciting to work with. I again have utilised the wonderful colours of the Australian bush. Silver dollars, bush roses, flannel flowers and gum leaves make up this lovely Australian bouquet.
The process for these watercolour on canvas pieces is something I have developed myself, beginning with the preparation of the canvas to receive the watercolour; sometimes heavy texture is added to the painting; the many layers of watercolour require each layer to be 'fixed' before another is added, certainly worth the effort to achieve a wonderful depth of colour. On occasion, I will also finish the piece with oil glazes to add an extra layer of subtle colour.

The paintings are signed on the front with my name ‘Lucinda’ and come with a Certificate of Authenticity. Be assured I only use artist quality materials for my work.
The piece will arrive cocooned in bubble wrap and packed within a sturdy cardboard container, sometimes recycled ( I do like to recycle when I can!), any glass will be taped to help prevent breakage, I am still losing the war with the tape machine so the package may not be the prettiest on the outside but the contents will arrive safe and sound.
