Oil on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

I photographed this playful swinging Corella in Bannockburn, Victoria. It was joyfully playing with it’smates and swinging on a thin flexible branch with wings outstretched. As the Corella noticed my presence, it turned its head with a mischievous twinkle in its eyes, acknowledging my presence with a cheeky expression. Its upright crest adding an extra touch of curiosity and liveliness to its already animated demeanor.
The corella is painted in oils and the acrylic background was intentionally kept minimalist to ensure that it does not overshadow the vibrant charm of the bird. The painting seeks to evoke a sense of humor and lightheartedness, capturing the essence of the Corella's joyful playtime.
