This work is an expression of the journey in search for a deeper sense of self. Like the Platypus it’s an isolated one, moving at my own person rhythm even when the current is against me. Created from the delicate synergy of ink, oils and crystallised salt from the earth. This circle embodies the essence of life, a journey that is not linear. Curious, playful energy takes me over. My garden of life flows with intricate details in a wash of abundant life. I am the Platypus, teaching myself that my uniqueness is a gift and self-acceptance will take me to what I seek. I flourish in the beauty of my soul home and feel the embrace of self-love. I harness it’s energies to bring balance, harmony and greater understanding of myself. I’m urged to nurture my own well-being and to honour my intuition. My intention is to highlight the journey of reconnecting with oneself. My soul paints ‘The Platypus’ Garden’.
Through my ‘Soulcircle’ technique, I aim for my work to deeply resonate. My abstract expressive style is about evoking an inner connection that we so often seek. I work to captures the fluidity of life and our journey to a deeper sense of self. With circles symbolising interconnectedness and life. Water, symbolises our emotions, while inks and oils enhance the intricacy. My profound appreciation for nature underscores my belief in cherishing life’s simple pleasures and natures natural beauty and design, things that touch our souls deeply. Light and space plays a guiding influence on my creative process. My intention is to illuminate the soul by evoking its sensibility. It's in connecting to this sensitivity that we discover the ease, grace and flow of life.
