Sydney Harbour what a gorgeous spot! But sometimes in my mind when I hear the newsreader say "as much water as Sydney Harbour" in context to a drought, some wastage, irrigation controversy or rain event I imagine the harbour draining away. This gives me an imagined visual of the space left behind and the huge volumes involved. This work is a hand drawn visual interpretation lithographic print. It is also a visual metaphor for how little value we put on water in general. It's usually there when we turn on the tap, it's cheap and even when it is mismanaged we don't really get up much of a sweat. Will we value it more if one day it suddenly disappears....I think so!
This work is classed as a US (unique state) as it is one of 4 printed (each unique due to the process) but the only one I have hand coloured.
