Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

I have always had an interest in bones! Especially when they are of interesting creatures and even better if they are fossils. This work is expressive and textural, with bold movement of strokes and scoring back into the paint. These elements are in inspired by archaeological digs when the dirt is stripped away and the 'find' shows through!
The colours are vibrant and there are metallic elements throughout, using bronze on the bones and an iridescent medium in with certain colours. Because of the metallic elements this artwork is a nightmare to photograph so my apologies. It does however look amazing in real life!
The work is a triptych so the 3 sections are separate and can be hung in a line or staggered to add interest. Separate hanging "wires" on each work and each canvas is 30cm wide to equal the total of 90cm in the width measurement below.
