Artwork Description

Reproduction Print on paper

Signed and numbered with a certificate of authenticity.

'They're off! Over the mountains and down a steep, steep hill. The emus think they're in the lead but it's the pelicans by a bill'.

The original illustration this print is beautifully replicated from, was created in acrylic and was one of the action spreads from my children's book 'Captain Kangaroo and the Big Bush Bash', published by Hachette Australia. In this story, Captain Kangaroo, has assembled his Aussie animal friends for another great adventure - the annual Vintage Outback Race, also known as the Big Bush Bash!!

Five teams cross the Murray in a paddlesteamer, search for opals in the Opal Fields of Lightning Ridge, meet the Flying Doctors in Alice, and finally reach the finish line in Broken Hill a little dusty but no worse for wear.

The image size is 48.5cm wide x 20cm high, surrounded by an additional 5cm border on each side. This allows plenty of room for your framer to add a matt and a complimenting frame of your choice. So rich in colour, this print would be an absolute delight in a child's room.
