Artwork Description

This body of work was influenced by nature's ability to create stunning patterns and colour variations. Using Acrylics in a fluid form allows me to recreate some of these unpredictable arrangements. Often I can see an object or a scenery in the final pour and I endeavour to bring out my vision to the viewer.
This bright yellow and orange acrylic pour just reminded me of the flaming colours of autumn leaves in Europe and I used negative painting to bring out the shapes of the autumn leaves. I then redesigned the negative space in a field of small pebbles as the ground beneath the leaves.
The artwork 'Glowing Colours' is part of my SOLO exhibition at the Glenrock Art Gallery at Esk until 6th December and is available again after that date

Artist Bio

About the Artist – Marta Blaszak

Marta Blaszak is a Brisbane-based visual artist with roots in Berlin, Germany. She holds a Bachelor of Interior Architecture from the University of the Arts Berlin. Since settling in Brisbane, Marta has continued to evolve her artistic practice, completing a Diploma in Visual Art at Bremer TAFE.

Deeply inspired by nature, Marta’s work reflects the beauty of the Australian landscape—particularly the flora and fauna surrounding her Forest Lake home, the marine life of Moreton Bay, and the vibrant energy of the Sunshine Coast. Her style blends realism with the expressive freedom of fluid acrylics and alcohol inks, offering a fresh perspective on the natural world.

Marta exhibits widely across South East Queensland and is a regular contributor to member exhibitions with the Logan Artists Association, Boonah Art Society, and Art West Community Gallery. She has held solo exhibitions at venues such as the Glenrock Gallery in Esk and participated in hospital art programs through the Royal Women’s and St Vincent’s Hospitals.

Alongside her studio work, Marta is passionate about community and education. She has taught acrylic painting to adults and children through the Inala Art Gallery and now runs her own art group from her Forest Lake studio, where she continues to inspire others through creativity.
