Artwork Description

'The Last Wave' by Marta Blaszak - Are you looking for something unique and original. Something that is inspiring but not a duplicate or a commercial replica? And is still affordable? Then you have come to the right place.
My youngest son, a keen surfer is always talking about catching the perfect wave, a big dream for any keen surfer. So, his stories and photos were the inspiration for 'The Last Wave' painting.
My aim was to manipulate a fluid acrylic pour to create this 'perfect wave’ on a 91cm x 45.5cm deep edged canvas board. The painting is unframed and has all edges paint finished. It is sealed with 2 layers of gloss acrylic for protection and has 2 D-rings and hanging wire attached to the back, making it ready to hang.
PLEASE NOTE that colours may differ from original painting on monitor screens, mobile devices and tablets. Artwork displayed in rooms are for the purpose of demonstration only and not always to the exact scale. Please check dimensions for actual size.
A signed Certificate of Authenticity will be attached to the back of the painting. Your painting will be packed with extra care in a recycled sturdy cardboard box to reduce our carbon print and shipped out within 1-3 business days. The Artwork is signed on the front. Thanks for looking!

About the Artist – Marta Blaszak

Marta Blaszak is a Brisbane-based visual artist with roots in Berlin, Germany. She holds a Bachelor of Interior Architecture from the University of the Arts Berlin. Since settling in Brisbane, Marta has continued to evolve her artistic practice, completing a Diploma in Visual Art at Bremer TAFE.

Deeply inspired by nature, Marta’s work reflects the beauty of the Australian landscape—particularly the flora and fauna surrounding her Forest Lake home, the marine life of Moreton Bay, and the vibrant energy of the Sunshine Coast. Her style blends realism with the expressive freedom of fluid acrylics and alcohol inks, offering a fresh perspective on the natural world.

Marta exhibits widely across South East Queensland and is a regular contributor to member exhibitions with the Logan Artists Association, Boonah Art Society, and Art West Community Gallery. She has held solo exhibitions at venues such as the Glenrock Gallery in Esk and participated in hospital art programs through the Royal Women’s and St Vincent’s Hospitals.

Alongside her studio work, Marta is passionate about community and education. She has taught acrylic painting to adults and children through the Inala Art Gallery and now runs her own art group from her Forest Lake studio, where she continues to inspire others through creativity.
