Flowers by the Sea.
“When over the flowery sharp pastures’ edge, unseen,
The salt ocean lifts its form,
chicory and daisies tied, released,
seem hardly like flowers alone,
but the colour and the movement,
or the shape perhaps
of restlessness,
Whereas the Sea is circled
and sways peacefully
Upon its plantlike stem.”
William Carlos Williams 1938.
And of course I had to add a little cottage snuggled into the cliff watching the Sea daisies dance and sway in the breeze.
