Wattle and Daub.
Love watching Doc Martin and documentaries about construction and restoration of ancient buildings. ( I know, boring!) But, did you know sticks of wattle are "daubed" with wet soil, clay, animal dung and straw and despite this primitive render are still standing hundreds of years later.!!!
I often look at our modern construction materials and wonder how long 20th century houses will last.?
