Acrylic on paper
Signed on the back.
The Dreaming in Colour series is an evolution of my work in abstraction, using an expressive movement of thin washes and an exploration of colour. When I come to paint I endeavour to place the critical mind to the side to allow a sense of intuition and openness to come forward in my awareness. I let my hand and eye be drawn to whatever colour is 'beeping' me at the time, loading the brush and allowing the sweeping marks to form on the paper. It is then a matter of a 'zen like' repeating of this process until the moment arrives when a felt sense says, "Stop". I put down the paint brush and review the painting. Sometimes the brush is picked up to make slight corrections of colour, but in general the piece is finished in an open and relaxed moment in time. The length of which I am not aware because I am so lost in the dreaming of colour.
As you can see from the images, I am suggesting this piece could form part of a diptych with 'Dreaming in Yellow #3', which you can view here:

FRAMING AVAILABLE WITH BLUETHUMB
This work on paper is listed unframed, however please let me know if you would like a quote for framing with Bluethumb. I feel this piece would look beautiful in the simplicity of a white or natural light timber frame. The work is on Canson 290 gsm, weighty, mould resistant, professional art paper.
Thank you for taking the time to view my art.
