CURIOUSITY - 2 works – Flow Series

Painting as a matching pair, Curiousity is about the way new things come across our path and peak wonder, awe, and an intense desire to know more. Each step we take into discovery opens up new doors and new avenues of exploration, and like Alice in Wonderland, we step into a land where things grow curiouser and curiouser.

With a nod to mid-century modern, the paint palette I chose features beautiful warm retro colours, from saffron gold, butterscotch, terracotta pinks and moss greens.

Each piece is painted with acrylics on 250gsm linen textured A2 art paper with lots of beautiful shapes creating a stunning dimensional piece, designed to be framed and sit close by each other. Signed with gold leaf on the front of the second piece.

SERIES INFO
'Flow' series focuses on the emotional journeys we take through life, and the way we process the choices we are faced with on a daily basis. It explores the softer side of relationships, learning to listen, learning to hear, learning to understand. Shapes are softer, feminine, gentle, yet still retain definite boundaries, echoing the process embodied in a maturing life.
