This work is about the sweet tension of two ideas - that our choices and dreams are writing our story that we are purposefully crafting words and paragraphs and metaphor for our life, and the idea that we are a book of blank pages that are being written upon by the great Author, by those around us, by the environment we immerse ourselves in, by the very earth we are made of.
I love ideas in tension, two things at the opposite ends of a tug of war. If one lets go, the other stumbles backwards and pulls you too far, and vice versa. Both are needed to keep tension on the rope and keep you in the game. It’s not either/or - it’s both/and.
We impact the story, and the story impacts us.

‘Geotricity’ series focuses on endlessly fascinating geometric pieces with vibrant colour. Through geometric shapes and the 3dimensional look they create, I explore thoughts around our perspectives and views as individual humans, and the way we both fight to be heard, and learn to listen. They offer a new story every time you see them, with their varying 3dimensional nature. Geotricity is my most regimented series, implementing both the rhythm in music and life, as well as themes around shifting perspective – it involves structured, repetitive geometric shapes and patterns, with block colours, and designs that incorporate optical illusions to trick the eye and provide endless fascination.
