This little sculpture is a Patung, which means 'old person in the past' This work as two things in the past. The mountain Agung , an ancient volcanic mountain , and the Patung. They are depicted in an imaginative beach scene with the silhouette of trees and the reflection of the mountain at dusk.
I love playing with colour and layers. The watercolour paper enables me to keep adding these layers, and the gouache stick highlights details within the water.
