Artwork Description

It's wonderful what a damaged upper arm can do. Here I am painting my favourite style, abstraction. The colours are delightful.
If you would like something similar and in a larger size and material, please let me know. This piece has to be framed under glass.

Artist Bio

Based on Coochiemudlo, a smaller island situated approximately a kilometre off the coast of Queensland, between Brisbane and North Stradbroke Island, Millie, an award winning artist, is innately influenced by the abundance of foliage and wildlife that inhabit her locality.
Unbound to a sole medium or creative methodology, her depictions align with the subject’s intrinsic elements and resonance. Millie paints in a way that depicts her thoughts and feelings of the subject, which has helped her tremendously throughout her adult life and experiences.
“There is no grief as you embrace and involve yourself deeply within the subject of your painting,” Millie states after the passing of her only son in 2003. “Painting was a lifesaving form of comfort at the time of my son’s passing, and continues to be up to the present moment.”
Millie possesses a BA in Fine Arts from Charles Sturt University and a Masters in Art Therapy from the University of Queensland.
