Artwork Description

Welcome to another painting inspired by my recent holiday in the lovely Riverina region of NSW.
Another take on visiting the wonderful Junction Park in Tumut, on a bright sunny morning. We encountered this tranquil river scene with delightful blues reflecting the sky above as well as the warm toned reflections of the fall coloured foliage. Wandering along, breathing in the fresh autumn air whilst enjoying the beauty of Nature. It's just pure bliss seeing the autumn foliage seemingly come alive in autumn sunshine and what made it even more special was to see a sweet fairy wren scampering around looking for a feed. A pure joy to create "Autumn Reflections, Tumut River".

Artist Bio

Monika Scheffler is a Sydney based visual artist who specialises in acrylic and watercolour paintings. She was hooked for life in 2012, when she started participating in various courses to this day, either online, in classrooms and workshops.
Monika draws inspiration from nature and captures its beauty in her realistic to impressionistic style. Her artworks can feature delicate details, expressive brushstrokes and vibrant colours. Her goal is to bring joy and peace to the viewer through her natural landscapes and floral art.
Monika has exhibited her paintings in several group art shows, online platforms as well as a gallery in collaboration with another artist and has won several awards along the way, receiving positive feedback from critics and collectors alike. Some of her notable works include “Blue Mountains – Three Sisters”, “Govetts Leap Blue Mountains”, “Flower Power”, “Manly Ferry Ride at Sunset” and “Autumn Sunshine”.
For this year, in response to the world around us, Monika has set her sights to creating more impressionistic floral artworks, incorporating her love of colours as well as honing her skills with soft pastels after having participated in a workshop in recent times amidst finalising projects she began last year.
