Artwork Description

What a joy to create "Banquet of Red and Pink Grevillea Blooms". Inspired by a lovely memory of seeing these very colourful and chirpy native birds visiting one of my native Grevillea shrubs. Alas, this one had to be removed, so I can't wait for the newly planted ones to attract native birds to my garden. They love to feed the nectar of the dainty spider flowers of the Grevillea.
Original painting created in March 2021. Signed on the front. Ready to hang.
Professional Artist quality Acrylics on gallery wrapped stretched canvas, base colours continued around the sides.
Styled scene, hanging and in situ setting is for display purposes only and is not to scale. Just to give you an idea of how this large native display of flora and fauna in summer artwork may look on your wall.
Finished with Satin Spray Varnish for protection.
Size in inches: w36" x h30"
Signed Certificate of Authenticity is included.

Artist Bio

Monika Scheffler is a Sydney based visual artist who specialises in acrylic and watercolour paintings. She was hooked for life in 2012, when she started participating in various courses to this day, either online, in classrooms and workshops.
Monika draws inspiration from nature and captures its beauty in her realistic to impressionistic style. Her artworks can feature delicate details, expressive brushstrokes and vibrant colours. Her goal is to bring joy and peace to the viewer through her natural landscapes and floral art.
Monika has exhibited her paintings in several group art shows, online platforms as well as a gallery in collaboration with another artist and has won several awards along the way, receiving positive feedback from critics and collectors alike. Some of her notable works include “Blue Mountains – Three Sisters”, “Govetts Leap Blue Mountains”, “Flower Power”, “Manly Ferry Ride at Sunset” and “Autumn Sunshine”.
For this year, in response to the world around us, Monika has set her sights to creating more impressionistic floral artworks, incorporating her love of colours as well as honing her skills with soft pastels after having participated in a workshop in recent times amidst finalising projects she began last year.
