Artwork Description

"Coastal Erosion" is an acrylic fluid artwork which ended up looking like a piece of coastal views with deep blue oceans, with lots of movement, foamy white crests and the sands and rocks on the edge seemingly moving into the sea. Certainly reminiscent of strong currents and wave action during cyclonic storms, hitting our coastline, causing immense amounts of damage including disappearing beaches. Currently quite apt with the damage caused by Alfred along the Gold Coast.
Original painting created in March 2020. Signed on the front. Ready to hang.
Fluid art painting using artist quality acrylics and alcoholic inks on deep edge gallery wrapped stretched canvas. Painting continued around the sides.
Hanging and in situ setting is for display purposes only and is not to scale. Just to give you an idea of how this impressionistic artwork may look on your wall.
Finished with Satin Spray varnish for protection.
Signed Certificate of Authenticity is included.

Artist Bio

Monika Scheffler is a Sydney based visual artist who specialises in acrylic and watercolour paintings. She was hooked for life in 2012, when she started participating in various courses to this day, either online, in classrooms and workshops.
Monika draws inspiration from nature and captures its beauty in her realistic to impressionistic style. Her artworks can feature delicate details, expressive brushstrokes and vibrant colours. Her goal is to bring joy and peace to the viewer through her natural landscapes and floral art.
Monika has exhibited her paintings in several group art shows, online platforms as well as a gallery in collaboration with another artist and has won several awards along the way, receiving positive feedback from critics and collectors alike. Some of her notable works include “Blue Mountains – Three Sisters”, “Govetts Leap Blue Mountains”, “Flower Power”, “Manly Ferry Ride at Sunset” and “Autumn Sunshine”.
For this year, in response to the world around us, Monika has set her sights to creating more impressionistic floral artworks, incorporating her love of colours as well as honing her skills with soft pastels after having participated in a workshop in recent times amidst finalising projects she began last year.
