Artwork Description

"Let's Meet at Bondi Icebergs" is another painting of these iconic ocean pools at the Surf Life Saving Australia Bondi Icebergs. Inspired by my first visit to this iconic beach scene south east of Sydney. It was a lovely sunny November morning, a tad cool for me to be in the water, but a fair few were enjoying the warming rays of the sun. I can just imagine a quick phone call to a friend in the early hours of a morning which promises to be a beautiful sunny day, suggesting a meet up at the pools to enjoy the ambience and views of this special place.
Original painting created in February 2024. Signed on the front.
Artist quality Acrylics on deep edge Professional stretched canvas, painting continued around the sides.
Styled scene, hanging and in situ setting is for display purposes only and is not to scale. Just to give you an idea of how this iconic scene would look on your wall.
Finished with Satin Spray varnish for protection.
Signed Certificate of Authenticity is included.

Artist Bio

Monika Scheffler is a Sydney based visual artist who specialises in acrylic and watercolour paintings. She was hooked for life in 2012, when she started participating in various courses to this day, either online, in classrooms and workshops.
Monika draws inspiration from nature and captures its beauty in her realistic to impressionistic style. Her artworks can feature delicate details, expressive brushstrokes and vibrant colours. Her goal is to bring joy and peace to the viewer through her natural landscapes and floral art.
Monika has exhibited her paintings in several group art shows, online platforms as well as a gallery in collaboration with another artist and has won several awards along the way, receiving positive feedback from critics and collectors alike. Some of her notable works include “Blue Mountains – Three Sisters”, “Govetts Leap Blue Mountains”, “Flower Power”, “Manly Ferry Ride at Sunset” and “Autumn Sunshine”.
For this year, in response to the world around us, Monika has set her sights to creating more impressionistic floral artworks, incorporating her love of colours as well as honing her skills with soft pastels after having participated in a workshop in recent times amidst finalising projects she began last year.
