Artwork Description

Original title "Superior Intensity" received a Special Merit Certificate from the Light Space and Time Gallery in their Abstract online Competition in March 2016! Renamed as "Organic Elements in Colour" which is more suited to the actual artwork. An imagined work of art of living organisms with its swirls and organic shapes in vibrant colours as might be found in our natural world.
Original painting created in October 2015. Signed on the front. Ready to hang.
A mixed media piece using Professional artists Acrylics, Pigmented Inks, Texture paste, Gloss gel and dry mediums on gallery wrapped stretched canvas. Painting continued around the sides.

Artist Bio

Monika Scheffler is a Sydney based visual artist who specialises in acrylic and watercolour paintings. She was hooked for life in 2012, when she started participating in various courses to this day, either online, in classrooms and workshops.
Monika draws inspiration from nature and captures its beauty in her realistic to impressionistic style. Her artworks can feature delicate details, expressive brushstrokes and vibrant colours. Her goal is to bring joy and peace to the viewer through her natural landscapes and floral art.
Monika has exhibited her paintings in several group art shows, online platforms as well as a gallery in collaboration with another artist and has won several awards along the way, receiving positive feedback from critics and collectors alike. Some of her notable works include “Blue Mountains – Three Sisters”, “Govetts Leap Blue Mountains”, “Flower Power”, “Manly Ferry Ride at Sunset” and “Autumn Sunshine”.
For this year, in response to the world around us, Monika has set her sights to creating more impressionistic floral artworks, incorporating her love of colours as well as honing her skills with soft pastels after having participated in a workshop in recent times amidst finalising projects she began last year.
