Artwork Description

Meet "Tumut River Reflections" one of the few paintings I created, inspired by our holiday in the lovely Riverina region of NSW. On the morning after we arrived in Tumut, we decided to go for a walk along the Tumut River Walk and along the way we encountered this serene river scene with delightful blues reflecting the sky above as well as the warm toned reflections of the fall coloured foliage. Wandering along, breathing in the fresh autumn air, enjoying the beauty of Nature, was food for our souls. I simply love seeing the foliage seemingly come alive in autumn sunshine. Just glorious.
Another lovely tranquil river scene which I enjoy creating.

Artist Bio

Monika Scheffler is a Sydney based visual artist who specialises in acrylic and watercolour paintings. She was hooked for life in 2012, when she started participating in various courses to this day, either online, in classrooms and workshops.
Monika draws inspiration from nature and captures its beauty in her realistic to impressionistic style. Her artworks can feature delicate details, expressive brushstrokes and vibrant colours. Her goal is to bring joy and peace to the viewer through her natural landscapes and floral art.
Monika has exhibited her paintings in several group art shows, online platforms as well as a gallery in collaboration with another artist and has won several awards along the way, receiving positive feedback from critics and collectors alike. Some of her notable works include “Blue Mountains – Three Sisters”, “Govetts Leap Blue Mountains”, “Flower Power”, “Manly Ferry Ride at Sunset” and “Autumn Sunshine”.
For this year, in response to the world around us, Monika has set her sights to creating more impressionistic floral artworks, incorporating her love of colours as well as honing her skills with soft pastels after having participated in a workshop in recent times amidst finalising projects she began last year.
