Artwork Description

"Waiting for Mum at Breenhold Gardens" is a watercolour painting set in the beautiful and majestic Blue Mountains National Park. This scene was from a stroll around the wonderful Breenhold Gardens in Mt Wilson during their Open Day held in during the Autumn season. There was a lovely lit up area through the opening in the brick wall with the foliage glowing in vibrant fall colours. Our stroll on this beautiful crisp autumn morning, brought us to this corner. Standing beside the trunk of the gum tree and looking towards the light, I wonder how many visitors waited for their loved ones to catch up with them at just at this point. There are so many different spaces to wonder at.
