The tall gum trees and tree ferns on the road to Lake Elizabeth in the beautiful Otways Forest always take my breath away. They tower over the land making me feel small and insignificant by comparison. The fresh smell of their leaves and the peaceful sounds of the birds make it a total sensory experience. My hope is that this painting has captured this feeling and will bring it along wherever it goes.
