When I stepped up to the canvas I wanted to capture something beautiful by painting the essence of a flower stripped back to its bare minimum. I wanted to create an image that was refined and elegant with a type of Japanese simplicity. I called the painting “The Language of Flowers” because it is a universal language with a beauty we can all appreciate and respect. This painting has been exhibited in the Whitehorse Art Show.
