Flannel Flowers have to be one of the most stunning, perennial native flowers of Australia with their delicate white petals and long woolly stems. They’re found growing in full sun in rocky gardens around Sydney. They’re known as the ‘Federation Star’ and they are also the centenary flower of NSW.
As it almost impossible to find cut flowers, I researched many images to compose my interpretation of a “Field of Flannel Flowers”.
I can image this (lightweight) painting framed in a floating white frame.
