I have had a month or so away from painting which has been fantastic as I have come back with some fresh eyes and ideas, this painting is capturing myself painting of a evening looking into our round counter top mirror looking back behind me is our photo wall and then into the kitchen.
I love just blocking in objects keeping it simple but expressive and picking up different colours as I see them probably a little bit Matisse inspired, it’s actually great for the brain this style trying to paint what’s real then what’s reflection from the mirror.
