Travel has always inspired my artwork‚ from the trip to East Africa and my pencil drawings of the wildlife‚ to Paris and the ink sketches of the beautiful architecture.

I am just as inspired by our local places‚ especially Melbourne where beautiful iconic architecture is found on every corner.

The Forum Theatre is particularly beautiful with its incredibly ornate style. I never truly appreciated how amazing it is until I came to draw it. It also amazes me that in all its splendour it has been - and still is - the home of some of the most exciting and edgy performances.

This ink drawing was part of a larger exhibition of ink drawings shown in Melbourne in 2015‚ which included my sketches of Flinders Street Station‚ the GPO Building and the Royal Exhibition Building.
