London was a place I grew up and then I moved to Australia. This view of Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament has a duality that i'd never experienced before. I took the photograph in 1992 when living back in London and the sky turned a smouldering yellow and red that reminded me of the summer skies on the east coast of Melbourne. I painted it to represent the possibilities that exist in a thought we don't know we can have.
