Chinese people and horses have had a unique relationship since ancient times. These beautiful and loyal animals have worked with mankind on fields and stood by us as companions in times of adventure or battle.
There are many paintings and poems about these elegant and spirited creatures.
The calligraphy on the left is from a poem which was written hundreds of years ago. It means “The mane of this strong horse is like copper, his silver hoofs are lifting dust into the sky. ”
