I worked with a Tannery; North of Brisbane, to prepare these Cobalt Blue kangaroo hides for my art. The blue is such a rich dense colour and the suede finish holds the light intensifying the cobalt blue colour making the black paint appear seperate from the . I stretch them to complete the canvas.

The black acrylic is semi gloss so the piece changes as the sunlight moves throughout the room. The black appears flat but as light hits it at certain angles the image comes to life.
