Tea cups, hydrangea flowers and watercolour is a classical combination. The contemporary twist is this acrylic painting is painted in a light and airy watercolour style on a large canvas.
I have collected various pieces of blue and white ceramics over the years and here they are, featuring on the Hydrangea Tea Time, Russian style. Well, some of them are real Russian Gzhel pieces, others are imaginary and a few ones are not Gzhelβs.
Gzhel is a Russian style of blue and white hand-made ceramics which takes its name from the village of Gzhel and surrounding area, where it has been produced since 1802.
