Ornella (Nell) Imber is an artist who lives on the idyllic East Coast of Tasmania, moving from Queensland to Beaumaris in 1997. Nell shares her coastal home with her singer/songwriter husband and her two talented teenage boys, they all enjoy surfing together.
Nell is a coastal dweller and if you have ever visited this picturesque part of the world it becomes obvious where she gains her inspiration. Nell feels very fortunate to have a magnificent studio over-looking the coast. Being a surfer the constant call of the ocean is a welcome distraction
Vibrant colours, delicate patterns and sweeping textures are the artistic tools that help to create paintings of exotic beauty. With painterly exuberance she produces images that will brighten any space. Nell gains great peace and joy through painting and hopes that the viewer feels the same.
Ornella has studied Visual Art at University and has been practicing as an artist for over 20 years. She has shown her work in several collaborative and solo exhibitions. Ornella has paintings in collections locally, nationally and internationally. She is represented by Waubs Bay Gallery, Bicheno and displays her paintings at Zeps in Campbell Town.
