I walk in wilderness areas. I also conduct surveys for shore and wader birds that migrant or live on these beaches. The name being Mawson's Beach inspired me to find out more about Mawson's travels to the Antarctic. The paintings gives this illusion of space and depth when it is hung in a room. There is texture on the surface built up by palette knife and impasto paint.
