Ever Green explores the optimism of youth, personified as a lone ghost gum tree growing in the Australian bush. The colour green represents the natural greenness or naivety of young people, the roots a strong and deep grounding in the community, the glowing ghost gum the temporary presence of life on earth but its everlasting spirit, and the evergreen gum leaves an eternal hope for future generations.
