Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.
Signed on the front.
Lately, I've been having some fun exploring the construction 'Dogman' role... and in this case, Painters and Dockers circa 1970.
One of a series that explore the domestication of animals through parody. I’m interested in the desire for companionship and the narratives we create around our pets’ comprehensions and motives.
This original is 100% hand painted acrylic, ink and airbrush.
I spend countless hours in my journal, simplify iconic images, contextualising, reworking and then compiling into large paintings using semi-gloss acrylic paint, markers, airbrush and charcoal.
I stretch my works on handmade, premium grade timber after completion, so the image wraps around the edges making them great for both framed or unframed - this work is hanging in Bluethumb's Richmond Gallery.
*Please note any in situ images of this artwork is to offer decor, installation and framing examples only and is not to exact scale and is stretched & UNFRAMED so please check the dimensions before purchasing.
