The ocean laps over our sandstone shore in this lively contemporary textured abstract. From the Sediments of Time series which expands the theme of my recent collections exploring Australia’s unique ecosystem, diverse topography, and colour. This series depicts the rich sandstone which adorns Australia's coastline, its undulating permutations, variation in colour and grain and the strata layers of natural sediment, nooks crannies and hidden gems deposited and buried long ago.

Approximately 15 layers of acrylic medium and paint are used to build the relief texture, colour overlay and detail. Accents of glass beads provide a hint of shimmer. Shapes and contours are carved into the medium, using mostly non-traditional objects. Canvas is stretched and ready to hang in either landscape or portrait. Sides are clean, so it can be hung without a frame or change frame to one of your choice. Signed on the side to give you flexibility of hanging and authored on the back.
