This painting was inspired by the first beach swim of the season. The water is still ice cold -- especially here in Victoria -- and people often walk into the water slowly, squealing and shivering all the way. This painting has a nostalgic quality, like an old family photo. It is ready to hang as is -- with edges painted --- but would also look lovely framed in natural timber.
