View from our couch, through the entry and finishing at the start of the hallway. You can just see the light fixture in the entry that I made by punching a hole through the base of a $4 candle holder. So fancy 😂 I can take a better photo if anybody cares to see it!

The last time I tried to choose art, I ran my possible options past a dear friend who gently [bluntly] suggested perhaps my selections were leaning towards a rather angst ridden moody teenage girl aesthetic. Not entirely what I was going for in my valiant attempts at a light, bright, pastel laden scandi design theme for my home. Is it any surprise though, from me, a girl who once plastered her ceiling in pictures of Taylor Hanson, and who to this day is still convinced Harry Styles is her intellectual soul mate? Even at 34 years old, I'm thoroughly in touch with my inner 17 year old. So anyway, point being, I needed help. We have big empty white walls and high ceilings and I needed to fill them with something that didn't look like an art submission sent in to TV hits magazine by a 14 year old. Enter @bluethumbart who went above and beyond to help me with colours and selections that I would absolutely adore and that suited my home aesthetic as well as the varying tastes of both me [very important] and my husband [not as important]. This was no mean feat let me tell you because I am a NOOB and at the art gallery my fave piece was the mural on the door to the toilet that was completed by a class of year five students. So anyway check out this absolutely stunning @jessica_leclerc artwork which I have just received back from the framer and I'm completely in love with. It has the most beautiful subtle pastel tones within the feathers and it just so happens that flamingos have been my fave animal since I was about 16, so my teenage self was also satisfied. Now we just have to agree on a spot to put her...! #artuncovered
