For me this painting conjures up images of deep ocean canyons. I don't necessarily start out to paint to a theme but one usually emerges by the time I finish the work. I have also painted a second piece called Ocean Canyons No. 1. One of the pictures shows the two paintings displayed together as I think they compliment each other well as a set.
