Australian Tawny Frogmouth's form a family partnership for life and like to live in the same location for many years. I was inspired by this family sitting out the front of my house, and when I studied the photograph I was captivated by the three different expressions in the eyes of each bird. The parents are clearly warning me to back away from their little one sitting in the middle. I think the dad is on the left and mum is on the right. However, it’s the wonder in the eyes of the baby that has captured my heart for a lifetime. The painting will also last for a lifetime and I have included my framing suggestion in the detail pictures.
