On my recent trip to my favourite Kerala South Indian beach resort Kovalam I love the different people who are selling their wares on the beach . the Fruit Ladies , the Shawl sellers , the Fish ladies carrying huge fish in buckets on their heads . Also the colourful fishing boats housed on the beach amongst the Beach Umbrellas with the Lighthouse at one end and the Government hotel at the other end.
I have been a painter for 55 years.An MA from the Royal College of Art early 70's.Won the open section of Cossack . Selected by Margraret Olley for the Doug Moran Portrait . The lives of the Indian Fishermen in Kerala for 26 years have been my inspiration.
