A homage to the great botanical photographers who have inspired me. This poppy image is reminiscent of the work of Sarah Moon for its romantic softness and colouring and Karl Blossfeldt for the details, the hair on the stem and bud shield and the beautiful pleats in the flower bud. This poppy was grown in my small but mighty garden here in Northern NSW. Looks very romantic and soft yet stylishly graphic and fabulous when displayed with the other 2 in the series.
