Original Artwork's Description

In "Borders Not Boundaries" I aimed to capture the seamless fusion of earth and water, where the lines that divide us become the very existence that unites us. This vast, open landscape invites the on looker to transcend the limitations of borders and embrace the infinite possibilities that lie beyond.

I have used fluid art techniques to produce this amazing X-large eye catching piece. The colour palette used, is one of earthy golds, red oxides, ochres, sea blues and smatterings of white. The non tactile textures appearing in the painting cannot be realised to the fullest when looking at an image on a screen. "Borders Not Boundaries" is best viewed in person. If you are wanting to make a statement or start that conversation then this thought provoking artwork will surely do that.
Imagine "Borders Not Boundaries" in the foyer or on entry to your home, homestead, or commercial space. Equally it will also look absolutely amazing in a living room or study, with its raw, organic, presence. As the painting is of a large proportion it will shine on a wall or a space that is uncluttered, free of other distractions to really display it to it's fullest potential.
If you choose to have the artwork framed, it would really elevate the overall presence of the artwork. but as the paint flows freely off the deep edge canvas you may not want this option. I would suggest the natural timber frame (your choice) if you are contemplating this. The artwork comes ready to hang and is coated with layers of a soft Archival varnish to protect it from U V rays and enhance the colour palette. A certificate of authenticity is also provided for your records.
Thank you for taking the time to look in, and read the story on the creation of "Borders Not Boundaries" It was such an immense effort when maneuvering the large canvas, with no brushwork involved that it gave me profound satisfaction.
My hope that this artwork will resonate with you enough to make that investment in a one of a kind artwork and give you many years of visual pleasure.

Artist Bio

I push fluid art beyond the pour, beyond the patterns, beyond the expected!
Because fluid art isn't just about what the paint does. It's about what you make it say!

I am an award winning artist. Please see some of my achievements on my profile.
Coming from a family of artists, I have been surrounded by creativity and artistic expression throughout my life, which has significantly shaped my approach to art today.
I was born in Sydney NSW and have been living on the beautiful Gold Coast in QLD for the last 16years.
My art style is modern contemporary/abstract, sometimes leaning towards impressionism and the techniques I use in this art form have captured a new edgy perspective from the usual fluid art experience. I mainly use acrylic paints with polymer as a flow medium, although I also love to use alcohol ink as another medium.

My practice explores fluid art as a means of interpreting the essence of place beyond literal representation.
Inspired by the movement of coastal waters and the raw beauty of the Australian landscape, I work with colour, organic forms, layered compositions, textures and transparency to evoke the character and atmosphere of a place.

Balancing intuition with intension , I embrace the unpredictable nature of the medium while carefully guiding each work towards its own identity. For me, fluid art is more than the creation of patterns; it is a process of discovery, where movement, depth and unexpected details come together to express a feeling, a sense of place and a story of its own.

I want each work to offer more than an image- a feeling a connection, or a place the observer can return to in their imagination.

My artworks are held in private collections throughout Australia and abroad and have also been represented in many galleries across Queensland and NSW and internationally.

The pour is just the beginning!
