Hidden beneath the surface of the world’s global crises, many young adults have found their transition into adulthood daunting.

This project aims to shed light on the isolating, fragmented, and precarious nature of this transitional period, during an increased time of uncertainty. Through intimate collaborations with close friends and other young adults, my practice draws on the encounters of this time to explore the experiences and sensations these crises create.

Born out of my personal journey amidst Melbourne's COVID-19 lockdowns, this project aims to capture the affective experiences and sensations that arise during these affective years of becoming.

Through documentary photography, I depict the profound journey of a generation caught in the midst of apprehension. Through the lens of relational portraiture, narrative storytelling, and poetic imagery, I aim to capture the tension, euphoria, exhaustion, and uncertainty that intertwine in this complex passage into adulthood.
