Artist Bio
Hiβ I am a painter and a retired art teacher. I studied at The North Adelaide school of Art, The University of Adelaide and Uni SA. My humble achievements include: - Winning two art awards for best landscapes in 1998 -an online finalist in Lethbridge 2 10β000 Small Scaled Art Awards 2012 & 2013- a finalist in Adelaide Cliftons Art Prize 2012 & 1014-winning 3rd prize for The Hahndorf Academy Prize 2017- Winning 1st prizes for portrait painting under 500x600 cm at The Royal Adelaide Show 2018.-Winning 2nd prize for landscape painting under 500x600 cm at The Royal Adelaide Show 2018.-Winning 1st prize for still life painting under 500x600 cm at The Royal Adelaide Show 2018I have sold many paintings. all over Australia. Each artwork is ready to hang and have a simple black frame fitted by a professional framer. This adds aesthetic value to the work and gives it a professional finish. Although able to paint portrait, figures and still life, I mainly paint trees and have been nicknamed "The Tree lady". I make art in my little home studio.Notes: Every piece of artwork is varnished, has a plain black timber frame and hanging wire, fastened by a professional framer.
I relocated to the Blue Mountains on January, 2022.
My work is mainly influenced by Paul Gauguin, Henry Matisse, Albert Namatjira, Hans Heysen and of course the Australian landscapes.
