Welcome to my Bluethumb portfolio, sharing my love for distressed and weathered surfaces, colour, typography, and the coastal lifestyle here on the Mornington Peninsula inspiring a style all my own onto canvas. Using self taught techniques in acrylic and mixed media, I create beautiful contemporary and neutral abstracts to minimalist landscape seascape paintings, feeling instantly at home in any environment... without the sand.
At present my original coastal works are held in various private collections in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Netherlands, Sweden, Canada, New Zealand, Switzerland, Germany, Hawaii (USA), Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai, and Austria.
My figurative works have become another avenue in me sharing my love for colour, visual texture, and numbers with fellow art lovers. These original works are created with pastel on paper, and have become a great way for me to keep my drawing skills active, as well as enjoying a fabulous resource of soft hues to recreate into my coastal works. At present I have several works held in private collections in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, and Switzerland.
Life is my inspiration, and I feel art is a form of expression for not only the artist, but the collector as well.
