Every now and then my family and I take a (very) early morning trip out to the Sydney Flower markets to oooohhh and ahhhh at all the gorgeous specimens at wholesale prices. I usually get overwhelmed by all the painting possibilities and end up buying really random blooms and/or simply running out of time to paint them all before they die.

Fortunately, on a recent trip I had to good sense to grab a bunch of these gorgeous frilly David Austins to pop in a jar and paint. I am as interested in the light and reflection play of the stalks as I am the pretty peachy pink heads.

Framed in a beautiful raw oak timber box frame, ready to hang and enjoy!
