I have been really busy with bird commissions lately so I fancied changing things up a bit with some still life paintings of my favourite flowers.
These paintings are 'alla prima' meaning they are painted from life in just one 'take', painted straight onto the paper. I enjoy the immediacy of painting this way, especially something as fleetingly beautiful as fresh flowers.
